Here’s the closest copycat recipe I’ve found for the most delicious margarita I had on my Montana trip last month!
⠀⠀
This recipe is from @carrieeeeeb and it’s so good! ⠀⠀
⠀
Huckleberry Margarita⠀⠀
Ingredients
1 tablespoon sea salt⠀⠀
about a 1/4 of a lime’s zest⠀⠀
2 tablespoons fresh huckleberries⠀⠀
2 ounces silver tequila⠀⠀
1 ounce orange liqueur⠀⠀
1 ounce agave nectar⠀⠀
1 ounce lime juice⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Zest about 1/4 of a lime onto a plate and add the salt to it. Mix until the lime zest is evenly distributed.⠀⠀
Cut out a wedge from the lime and use it to rim the glass with lime juice. Turn the glass upside down into the salt to get a salted/zested rim.⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Next add the huckleberries to the glass and muddle to release the juices and create a jam-like consistency, you don’t want to pulverize the huckleberries. Next pour in the tequila, orange liqueur, agave nectar and lime juice. Give it a good stir, add ice and enjoy!⠀⠀
If you can’t find huckleberries you could try a combination of blueberries and blackberries!
